Stopwise – Terms of Use

Welcome to Stopwise: Journey Alarm (formerly Dozer). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Stopwise mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Pricing and Subscriptions

Stopwise offers an auto-renewable subscription. Available plans, prices, billing periods and any trial eligibility are shown in the App Store purchase screen before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account under the terms shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings.

2. Trial, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

Any trial, billing cadence, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling is managed by Apple under your App Store terms. Unless required by applicable law, refunds are handled by Apple and not by the developer.

3. Privacy and Data Use

Stopwise processes location on your device to provide journey alerts. Selected destination coordinates are sent to OpenWeather to retrieve weather, and Apple services support maps, place searches, address lookup and purchases. Saved places and preferences are stored on your device. Use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

4. License Grant and Restrictions

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal lawful purposes. You must not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, or exploit the App except where mandatory law permits.

5. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to: use the App only for lawful purposes; not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App; understand that Stopwise relies on GPS and mobile data, and performance may vary depending on signal strength, device settings, or environmental conditions. You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under the legal age of digital consent in your country, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

6. App Limitations and Accuracy

Stopwise provides alarms based on your real-time location using GPS and network data. While we aim to provide reliable alerts, we cannot guarantee perfect accuracy or timing. Location services and alert delivery are affected by signal quality, location and notification permissions, device power, iOS background behaviour and settings such as Focus, Silent Mode and audio routing. The backup timer is a separate time-based reminder; it does not detect arrival or guarantee that a journey alert will be delivered. Weather and journey estimates are informational and may be inaccurate or unavailable. You should not rely on Stopwise for critical, time-sensitive, or safety-related purposes. Always double-check your progress during travel.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, branding, and code within Stopwise are the intellectual property of the developer and protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. You use Stopwise entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the use of the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Non-Excludable Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of Stopwise after any changes means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
